PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTIFICATION OF PEST SURVEY PROGRAM

Notice is hereby given under Section 261 of the Biosecurity Act 2014 (“the Act”), that the Darling Downs-Moreton Rabbit Board will be conducting a pest survey program to monitor compliance with the requirements of the Act in relation to declared pests.

The purpose and scope of the program is to aid in monitoring/mapping the distribution and the extent of populations of rabbits in the board operational area, which includes the following local authority areas:

Lockyer Valley Regional Council Logan City Council
Toowoomba Regional Council Scenic Rim Regional Council
Southern Downs Regional Council Council of the City of Gold Coast Council

Declared Pest Fence Notice

Pursuant to the Biosecurity Act 2014 (“the Act”), the Darling Downs-Moreton Rabbit Board gives notice that as the building authority for the Rabbit Proof Check Fence, the Board will be entering onto rural properties in the local authority areas described below for the purpose of building, inspecting and maintaining the Rabbit Proof Check Fence and clearing the fence line during a twelve month period commencing on 1st March 2021 and finishing on 28th February 2022 during the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Notification of Pest Prevention and Control Program

Notice is hereby given under Section 261 of the Biosecurity Act 2014 (“the Act”), that the Darling Downs-Moreton Rabbit Board will be conducting a prevention and control program to monitor compliance with the requirements of the Act in relation to declared pests.

The purpose and scope of the program is to eradicate populations of rabbits and prevent re-establishment of populations in the board operational area, which includes the following local authority areas:

Western Downs Regional Council Ipswich City Council
Lockyer Valley Regional Council Logan City Council
Toowoomba Regional Council Scenic Rim Regional Council
Southern Downs Regional Council Council of the City of Gold Coast Council

The pest prevention and control program will commence on the 1st March 2021 and will continue until 28th February 2022.
